Are you interested in exploring how fingerspelling can lead to improved literacy outcomes for students who are deaf or hard of hearing?
Join VDEI and presenter Nancy Bridenbaugh, Research Project Manager for the Fingerspelling Our Way to Reading program, to explore emergent literacy and Theory of Mind as important topics for educators supporting young deaf learners who communicate in sign language. This workshop will serve as an introduction to the Reading Comprehension Program – the program has recently been adapted for use with Australian Sign Language and two-handed fingerspelling.
The two-day workshop will run on Thursday 24 – Friday 25 October from 9.00am to 4.00pm at the Victorian Deaf Education Institute on St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
