Master of Inclusive Education Initiative 2021

Applications for Round 7 (R7) will open 9am Monday 30 August and close Monday 27 September 2021 at midday.

Through better qualified teachers, this initiative will promote an advanced understanding of inclusive educational needs in the context of access and success for students with disability and diverse educational needs. The long-term vision is for all 1,549 Victorian government school to have a Masters qualified inclusive education teacher on staff, creating and leading a more inclusive school environment for all students regardless of their abilities and backgrounds

Through additional postgraduate study, teachers can make a significant contribution to how their schools plan and support students with disability and additional learning needs, using evidence-based, best practice approaches.

Successful applicants will complete a Master level course, specialising in either:

  • Inclusive Education
  • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

There are 47 placements that must be expended in R7. The program will consider providing schools with an additional placement if we are unable to expend these placements, therefore, we encourage all schools to apply in this Round. See table for courses on offer:
